Any physical activity has benefits and its risks. Running and walking are known to improve our health but one should not embark on either without a proper preparation. Many of you are seasoned runners and make a run part of your life style. If this is your first 5k, here is a program that will help you enjoy the event with a minimum of risk of injury. You need only commit 3 days a week to this program. Training for a 5K (or 10 K) Each session should last for 20-30 minutes. This program takes 8 to 9 weeks.
